I am the biggest advocate for hair weaving

I am the biggest advocate for hair weaving for so many reasons, the most common 3 reasons I recommend my clients to go into a sewin are :

  1. The number 1 option in my opinion for my customers who are transitioning from relaxer to natural and are having some issues with totally embracing the transition and all that comes with being natural after the experience of having relaxed hair for so long, in this case most of my clients choose to hold on to a straight hair weave for as long as possible. Even if you want to find a hair match that is identical to your own texture, or maybe you want to embrace the natural look all together before the commitment is final and choose a hair that is already textured and natural looking. At any rate relaxed hair tends to shed and break during this process therefore its a lot easier to put the hair up and allow it to just be.

  2. Weaving is also great for my curly to over curly haired customers who want to try a new look all together without making a full commitment and still have it look as natural as possible. I find that the bases of a sew-in when done right, cornrowing the hair with proper tension, using minimum synthetic hair and only when needed, with a high quality thread is the most gentle hair extension process.

  3. The final top three reason I suggest weaving to my customers is when there is some kind of extreme damage or breakage that causes discomfort with your overall appearance and you just want to replace the hair without any differences or noticeability. This is more customized services when the hair is strategically placed in a certain area and then blended to create an absolute replacement to the area that is damaged or thinned out.

My top 3 reasons for a gluin

My top 3 reasons for a gluin:

  1. Glue-ins are such a cool option for my client who want to try a very temporary look that will stay put for about 2 weeks to a month. You can literally create any look you want with this type of boned option. You can create up-dos, short looks, pieces, and things that are more avant grade like feathers or a peacock effect on top of the head. Glu-ins can be very fun and creative.

  2. A glu-in is also a really cost effective option and because its not worn for the extended time as most hair extensions and generally you don't have to spend a lot of money on the hair. My customers enjoy this option also because its very fast and great when you need a hot look for not a lot of money and even less time.

  3. Though some shy away from this option, keep in mind it is the most believable extension for a short hair style and also when you just want to add a small piece to a hairstyle or even adding a hint of color. I mean think about it, the flatness of commercial hair laying directly to the scalp no thread or braids in between, it doesn't get any flatter then that. This is not an option for someone with a really bothersome scalp or who is very sensitive, however if it fits within the bracket of what your looking for in a more temporary hairstyle, also keeping it cost effective, this by far is the best choice.

WEAVE CARE GUIDE

*ALWAYS SHAMPOO AND CONDITION HAIR BEFORE INITIAL INSTALLATION*

Whenever possible, manufactures recommend shampooing and conditioning hair before installment.

SHAMPOO HAIR USING TEPID OR LUKEWARM TEMPERATURE WATER KEEPING ALL HAIR IN ONE DIRECTION, USE A MOISTURIZING SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER,(NEVER STRIPPING, CHEALATING, OR NEUTRALIZING SHAMPOO).

FOR BEST DRYING RESULTS YOU SHOULD AIR DRY, BY FIRST ROLLING COMMERCIAL HAIR IN TOWEL, DO NOT WRING SQUEEZE , HANG OR JUST LAY FLAT ON TOWEL TO DRY, THE NEXT BEST OPTION IS TO SIT HAIR UNDER A HOODED DRYER. DO NOT USE A BLOW DRYER AS THIS CAN CAUSE UNNECESSARY PULLING AND CAUSE THE HAIR STRANDS TO BECOME FRAZZLED.

AFTER HAIR IS DRY YOU MAY PROCEED TO STYLING, IF YOU ARE WEARING A STRAIGHT STYLE PREPARE THE HAIR BY USING THE NECESSARY THERMAL SPRAYS AND OIL SHEEN AT THIS TIME. IF YOU ARE WEARING A WET, WAVY OR CURLY HAIR STYLE IT MAYBE NECESSARY TO REWET COMMERCIAL HAIR TO REJUVENATE THE CURL OR WAVE PATTERN, AT THIS TIME BE SURE TO REWET WITH DESIRED SOLUTIONS TO KEEP HAIR CONTROLLED AND FRIZZ FREE. I GENERALLY LIKE MIX A MOISTURIZING CONDITIONER WITH WATER AND USE THIS AS A DAILY SPRAY, ALSO USING A LITTLE FOAM WRAP IN-BETWEEN DAYS.

A VERY LIGHT OIL SHEEN OR VERY LIGHT OIL SHOULD BE THE ONLY STYLING PRODUCT THAT YOU NEED. HOWEVER WHATEVER PRODUCT OF CHOICE, IT SHOULD BE USED LIGHTLY AS TO MUCH PRODUCT BUILDUP WILL RESULT IN THE NEED TO SHAMPOO MORE OFTEN, HEAVINESS TO THE HAIR AND OR IRRITATION TO THE SCALP.

YOU WILL ALSO NEED A PROPER WIG BRUSH (BRUSH WITH ROUND BALLS AT THE TIPS) AS YOU SHOULD ALWAYS USE THIS BRUSH FOR PROPER DETANGLING AND MAINTENANCE. SHAMPOOING SHOULD BE DONE A MINIMUM OF EVERY 1 TO 3 WEEKS. THIS TIME WILL GREATLY DEPEND ON LIFESTYLE AND HAIRSTYLE.
